Always With Us Now

Callie, my sweet, sweet girl, I miss you so much! Daddy misses you. Shadow and Ducky miss you. I know your sweet Spirit is always with us now; but that doesn’t keep us from missing your earthly presence.

You’re free of pain now my sweet girl, so go play with your older sister, Kissy, until we all meet again.  We love you, Callie, always.  — Mama, Daddy, Shadow, and Ducky

Thank you to BlogPaws for the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. I know this post is a little wordy, but not so much as most of my posts.

Thanks, JoAnn! I love this picture of Callie. Eventually the heartache will ease into an occasional tear as I look at pictures of her. This time 11 years ago – when Callie was 5 months old – I was still torn up over Kissy. I couldn’t even look at her picture without crying. Now they’re playing together at the Rainbow Bridge, while they wait for me. My only consolation is that they’re not sick and hurting any more.

Such a sweet faced girl! It always gives me comfort to think of my pets that are gone being together playing and waiting at the bridge. I’m glad you have that comfort too. (I always think of my Mom being there too to greet them)

When you feel the warmth of the sun on your face, and all the other beautiful things in nature, that is Callie. She is always there, even if not in her form.

The Rainbow Bridge poem is sad, isn’t it. That’s okay. I have always believed – even before I knew about the poem – that we are reunited with our beloved pets at some point. Meanwhile, my girl’s Spirit is with me, and knowing that helps too. 🙂
