Ducky’s Childhood Sweetheart

Ducky has a boyfriend at daycare. His name is Casper (like the friendly ghost cartoon character of my own childhood). Isn’t he cute? He’s the recently-adopted fur-baby of one of the daycare employees. He doesn’t have many doggie friends; but he loves Ducky.

I’m not sure what’s going on in the background to make Ducky look terrified; but I know these people and I know my dog. She was not — and never is — in danger in their care. Someone probably dropped something on the floor and it made a loud bang. Anytime she’s startled, Ducky’s ears drop down next to her head, her tail flattens out to nearly horizontal (or lower, between her legs), and her eyes get huge and wide.

That’s it for my Barks and Bytes post this week, hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog. The Barks and Bytes hop is for anything at all and all bloggers are welcome. You donโ€™t have to be a dog blog to join. For new blog hoppers, a blog hop is list of links that is shared on multiple blogs. In order to be fair to all participants Linda and Jodi ask you to please use the linky list. If your blog does not support a linky list, please link back to either Linda or Jodi.

Those two are so sweet!! It often doesn’t take much to startle our dogs, so I’m sure it was probably just a loud noise or something. It looks like Casper is looking in the same direction, he was just a bit calmer about it. ๐Ÿ™‚
