We were in the back yard … the surgeon said to start giving her the off-leash freedom in the yard, in small doses, so she doesn’t overdo the grazing and/or running. She’s not always dependable on the recall — MY fault entirely — so I don’t ever unclip the leash when we’re not in our own back yard (with the gates closed and locked). She decided to chase a squirrel to the other side of the gate this morning (with Shadow), and then came back under the roof of the carport to lay down. It got buggy shortly after that, tho, so we came inside. I was a little worried she might hurt herself running, but she did fine.
